(American, b. 1952)
Susan Cox was educated in Fine Arts and Ceramics at California State University Long Beach, CA. She moved with her family, to England where she painted and exhibited in the London and Oxfordshire areas. Most notably, Susan exhibited in the Federation of British Artist's, Britain in Watercolours exhibition at the prestigious Mall Galleries in London.
National and regional publications have featured Susan's work and ABC's Wide World of Sports highlighted an opening segment with one of her sports illustrations. Her automotive paintings were featured at the Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, CA. Coast Magazine have used her art on two covers and Orange Coast Magazine featured Susan in an article about Southern CA artists.
Susan has shown her work in galleries throughout California - Union Square, San Francisco, Sausalito, the Napa Valley, Beverly Hills, Laguna Beach and San Diego. She has twice received Honorable Mention awards in the San Clemente Plein-Air Event. Her work has been commissioned by interior designers for hotels and country clubs - Hyatt Hotel, Huntington Beach, CA, Silverstone Golf Resort, Las Vegas, NV, Blackhawk Golf Resort, Danville, CA, the Chart House Restaurant, Newport Beach, CA and the Tattersall Country Club, PA. Susan is currently represented by the Coda Gallery in Palm Desert, CA and The Potting Shed in the City of Orange, CA.
