THE BUSINESS OF ART IN DESIGN
with Bobi Leonard, ASID
Friday, March 23, 3-5 pm
PALM DESERT, CA — CODA Gallery recognizes the Coachella Valley’s most popular events for aficionados of design by hosting a lecture series featuring celebrity designer Bobi Leonard. On March 23, during Fashion Week El Paseo, Bobi will explain how art can be a vehicle to identify space and create mood — providing examples by way of artworks exhibited in the gallery.
Originally from Palm Springs, Bobi grew up in the Bahamas with her father, an importer. She followed in his footsteps, establishing a small import business in her garage before opening her first showroom in Santa Monica. In time, she built a multimillion-dollar enterprise encompassing interior design, real estate and business consulting, and skin care. She has been a lifestyle and design reporter and made frequent guest appearances on Los Angeles-based and national television stations, including HGTV and The Discovery Channel.
Bobi is a CEU accredited teacher with extensive experience in educational lectures at venues such as Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood and Las Vegas Design Center. “The Business of Art in Design” at CODA Gallery is offered free and is open to the public. ASID members can earn CEU credits by attending.
Space is limited, and reservations can be made via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling the gallery at 760-346-4661.
