ARTIST

Barbara was born in Wisconsin and raised in several states coast-to-coast and abroad. Her Fine Art and art history education are from the University of South Dakota. She holds a degree in Interior Design from Harper College, Illinois. Additional studies in painting have been with nationally known artists: Jove Wang, Carolyn Anderson, Don Ward, Ken Backhaus, John Howard Sanden, Dan Gouzee, Cathy Barry, Romel de la Torre and Frankie Johnson. She is a member of the American Society of Portrait Artists, The American Impressionist Society, and a national and regional exhibitor at Oil Painters of America and the Cincinatti Art Club.

The artist especially enjoys working from life, figures, children on the beach, and portraits, as well as on location landscapes in Carmel, Taos, the northwest and midwest.
