Using acrylics and found objects, Father Moore works tirelessly on developing his poetic works, reflecting upon his belief that the role of the artist is to explore the physical world and to discover the seemingly hidden truths and meanings that connect us to the spiritual world.
Over the course of his career, Father Moore has taught art and religious studies, and served as Pastor and Associate Pastor at Holy Name of Mary Church in San Dimas, CA. In 1998, Father Moore was assigned by his religious order, the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts (SS. CC.) to work full time on Ministry of the Arts. Father Moore continues to celebrate weekend Mass and works with local youth detention camps in Los Angeles.
"My art maintains that everything about us and the world has been redeemed… my creations clearly have the shadow side, they hold an invitation to know more about the world --about who we really are. Surface markings reflect upon our experiences through life as we face our weaknesses and fears."
