"Since childhood I was fascinated with textiles, their texture and the complicated patterns created by the thin threads woven together. 

"To achieve the same effect I apply layers of paint on top of each other and then sand the surface down to reveal the hidden layers underneath.  Different thickness of paint creates the texture of the painting.  I create most pieces on the flat surface. 

"There is no top or bottom, just poetry of colors.  I try to describe a pattern, a story of the painting process, and capture the rippling of paint."
