ARTIST

I weld my original sculptures in steel and later have copies cast in bronze.  I am drawn to the strength, flexibility and luster of the metal.  As I work, cutting, hammering, and welding the metal, the personality of the subject emerges.  It can be dramatically affected by subtle changes in the angles and planes of the form.  The contrast of the sharp smooth surfaces against the rounded textured surfaces is enhanced by the warm golden patina.  I strive to impart a feeling of inner strength and grace in my women sculptures.
