Kris started his training in ceramics in the late 60's. As much fun as he was having, he knew it wouldn't pay the bills. Instead, Kris founded a company called Money Mailer, a leading company in the distribution of local and national coupons. Twenty-five years, 300 offices, and 30,000 clients later, he sold the business.

In 1998 his son, Trevor came home and told his dad how much fun he was having in his high school ceramics class. That's all it took. The two were down buying potter's wheels, kilns and supplies.

Very few artist even attempt to do crystalline ceramics. Kris is recognized as one of its premiere artists in his field. He lectures and teaches crystalline glazing around the country.

He and his wife, Marilee moved to the desert in 2003. They are blessed to be able to donate all of the proceeds they receive from his art sales to Miracles in Motion - a ministry that helps to move motel families into permanent housing.
